The Critters and Companions is a vanilla-style creatures mod that adds a variety of new animals to the overworld of Minecraft. These new creatures are all unique, with their own special abilities and behaviors.
Mobs:
The mod adds the following new creatures to the overworld:
Otter: Otters spawn in rivers and will open clams to find pearls. Pearls can be used to craft the pearl necklace, which gives the player a different effects.
Ferret: Ferrets spawn in plains and forests and can be tamed with raw rabbit. Tamed ferrets will help you hunt chickens and rabbits, and can also dig for loot.
Koi fish: Koi fish spawn in rivers and can be picked up with a bucket. Groups of koi fish will give the player a luck boost.
Dumbo octopus: Dumbo octopuses spawn in deep oceans and can be picked up with a bucket. If a player is drowning, nearby dumbo octopuses will help by giving them a bubble helmet.
Sea bunny: Sea bunnies spawn in oceans and can be picked up with a bucket.
Dragonfly: Dragonflies spawn over rivers and can be tamed with spider eyes. Tamed dragonflies can be given dragonfly armor, which increases their durability and damage.
Leaf insect: Leaf insects spawn in forests and dance to music.
Red panda: Red pandas spawn in jungles and sleep through the day. They can be bred with bamboo and tamed with sweet berries. Tamed red pandas will scare away most aggressive neutral mobs.
Shima enaga: Shima enagas spawn in snowy biomes and can be tamed with seeds.
