Home Minecraft Mods Sleep Tight Mod (1.20.4) | Sleeping System Overhaul

Sleep Tight Mod is a mod that overhauls the sleeping system in Minecraft. It adds new features, such as hammocks, night bags, and bedbugs, as well as nightmares and how sleep encounters work.

Features:

-Hammocks: Hammocks are a new way to rest during the day. They can be attached to two fences with two blocks in between, or in a 3 block space against two blocks. When you lay on a hammock, you can swing back and forth by pressing the “a” or “d” movement keys.

-Night Bags: Night bags are an item that can be used to sleep anywhere, even in the Nether. They do not set your spawn point, and they disappear when you wake up.

-Bedbugs: Bedbugs are a new mob that can spawn after you sleep in a bed on high difficulties. They will burrow into the bed, making it unusable. To get rid of bedbugs, you must use a potion of harming on the bed.

-Home Bed: Sleep in the same bed at least 8 times, and it becomes your “home bed.” Upon waking up, you get the Invigorated effect, boosting XP drops from ores and mobs for an extended period. But don’t break or let your bed be infested – it’ll reset its home bed status! Keep track of your status in the sleep screen through a newly added icon.

-Sleep encounters: A new mechanic that can happen when you sleep next to a dark spot. You will have a chance to be woken up by a mob that could have naturally spawned there.

-Nightmares: The more consecutive nights you sleep, the more likely you are to have a nightmare that will wake you up in the middle of the night and give you a sleep cooldown.

-Sleeping Changes: The mod added a couple of changes to sleeping here are a few of them:
You can now lay on a bed or hammock without sleeping. This allows you to move your camera and access your inventory like normal.

While sleeping, you will see the current time on the left corner of your screen.

-Sleep Benefits & Requirements: The mod offers many ways to customize your sleeping experience. Here are all the options that it offers with their default behavior:

  • Sleeping requires full hunger (default off)
  • Sleeping requires an XP toll (default 0)
  • Sleeping will grant a status effect (Invigorating only for home beds as explained above)
  • Heal when woken up (default on)
  • Clear all effects when woken up (default on)
