Photon Shader is a Minecraft shader that’s gameplay-focused. It features custom lighting with variable penumbra shadows, a custom sky with multiple cloud layers, revamped water, reflections, lighting, camera effects such as bloom, and much more.

Custom lighting with variable penumbra shadows:
Photon Shader features realistic custom lighting. Objects cast shadows more realistically, and they can have variable penumbras depending on the distance of the object from the light source. GTAO (Global Illumination with Tessellation and AO) is also implemented, which adds an ambient occlusion effect.
Custom sky with multiple volumetric cloud layers:
The sky is also custom-made and looks amazing. It has multiple cloud layers that also cast shadows.
Revamped water:
The water has been revamped and looks amazing. It has a more reflective surface and it also has waves and ripples that move realistically.
Advanced temporal upscaling:
Temporal upscaling uses information from previous frames to upscale the current frame, which can improve image quality.
