As a Minecraft player, you’re probably familiar with mods and how fun they are. So if you’re looking for a popular loader to load these mods, Fabric is an excellent choice. However, the process of installing Fabric on Minecraft Launcher can be a bit daunting. But don’t worry we’ve got you covered because, in this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to install Fabric for Minecraft Launcher on Windows.
Step 1: Install Java
For Minecraft and Fabric Installer to work, you must install Java on your computer. If you don’t have it, you can download and install it from the official website.
Step 2: Download the Fabric Installer
Once you have Java installed, you can download the Fabric Installer. Go to this link and download the Universal JAR installer or the Windows .exe installer, depending on your preference.
Step 3: Close Minecraft Launcher
Before running the Fabric Installer, make sure you close the Minecraft Launcher. The launcher should not be running when you run the Fabric Installer.
Step 4: Run the Fabric Installer
Now it’s time to run the installer. Follow these steps:
-Double-click on the downloaded Fabric Installer file to run it.
If you want to create a new profile leave Create Profile checked.

After installing the Fabric Mod Loader, you’ll need to install the Fabric API to enable the use of mods that depend on it. The Fabric API is essentially a mod that provides common hooks and incompatibility measures for other mods using the Fabric toolchain.

Once you’ve downloaded the file, save it to the mods folder. If the file downloads directly to your “Downloads” folder, simply copy it to the mods folder. With the Fabric API installed, you’ll be able to use other Fabric mods.
